Aerowalkers

Aerowalkers have been designed to help in the following conditions:

Poor circulation, DVT, Oedema of feet and legs, lack of sensation, post fracture muscle recuperation, developing plantar pressure in recovering hemiplegics, sports injuries, foot injuries, pins and needles, etc.

Aerowalkers are a Patented product.

Aerowalkers have been specially developed to meet general well being needs, enhancing circulatory activity during periods of rest, relaxation, recuperation or inactivity.

Aerowalkers help keep you active and maintain blood flow and muscle tone in your legs. Aerowalkers use a simple reflex action which requires relatively little attention and can be used when reading, watching TV, and on long haul flights. Aerowalkers are the kindest way to therapeutically relax your legs and feet whilst sitting down.

We discovered medical research which showed there was little known about a vein under the long arch of the foot that has been called the ‘foot pump vein’. The use of Aerowalkers creates a pulsating action to the foot pump vein, which assists the dispersing of fluids from the feet and lower legs generating improved blood flow to and from the lower legs.

Regular use of Aerowalkers improves circulation, helps tone and build muscle density, and minimises the risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT).

Testimonials -

"Having had the misfortune to suffer a ruptured Achilles tendon last July, which resulted in an operation I was fortunate enough to have had the opportunity to use Aerowalkers to aid my recovery.

Anyone who has experienced this type of injury will know that the recovery is a very slow painful process which goes into months of physio.

The Aerowalkers certainly aided in this as it is very important to resume the blood flow once out of plaster. The Aerowalkers enabled me to do this. The gentle action of rocking was just the right amount of exercise needed to build up strength on my very weak ankle. I can certainly recommend Aerowalkers."

Many thanks, Z. Walden

“I was introduced to Aerowalkers Foot Therapy product by Aerowalkers Limited, they sought my advice about the effect of prolonged sitting by elderly sedentary people.

I found that the use of Aerowalkers induced people to keep their feet and ankles moving with the result that circulation improved, muscle power increased and feet and ankle joints became more mobile.

This led to the realisation that Aerowalkers would be useful on long haul flights to reduce the risk of DVT which in turn led me to think that Aerowalkers could be used post operatively to combat the risk of DVT.

I have monitored the use of a pair of Aerowalkers on a patient following a severe fracture of the heel with resultant oedema, pain, loss of muscle power and joint range of movement and the results were favourable in reducing swelling, improving strength, aiding the healing process, and improving the range of mobility.

To Aerowalkers Limited

I have found the idea of Aerowalkers non-invasive treatment remarkably effective in reducing oedematous swelling of the feet and lower legs. The pulsing action of the air chamber under the long arch appears to play a significant part in dispersing fluid build up in the feet.

Separately, the plantar pressure of the rocking action greatly improves the muscle tone of the feet and lower legs.

Hence combining the two mechanisms (pulsing & rocking actions) proved valuable in achieving the above.

To: Aerowalkers Limited,

I first started to use the Aerowalkers 5 weeks after a serious ankle injury, Just as soon as I was out of plaster. I was not allowed to weight-bear at all so regaining fitness without weight-bearing was crucial. Because of slow healing operation scars each side of the ankle there was an exceptional amount of swelling that dramatically reduced movement range and also ability to withstand have my foot lowered from 'above heart level' and down on the floor.

The first time I used the Aerowalkers I was impressed with how good it felt to use. It was so easy to carry on 'automatically', I actually resented any interruption and couldn't wait to get back to it. It was wonderful to be able to use my ankle without restricting pain as my foot was supported. There was a slight tendency to wobble that was a marvellous start on strengthening the ankle against twisting, again without pain.

The next morning the swelling was massively reduced. That was the day I was to have a further operation and the lack of
swelling made the whole thing easier and meant wound closure was complete (unlike the earlier operations) As an experiment I tried to mimic the movement without the Walker but it hurt and didn't feel good. In fact it didn't feel a safe movement to make. When I went for physiotherapy I was to discover just how much benefit I had got from the Aerowalkers, as the range of movement in my bad ankle was nearly the same as the good side. The physio was seriously amazed!

As I have a chronic illness affecting mobility and leading to stiffness and reduction of movement. I consider the Aerowalkers has probably been the sole reason I can now go downstairs normally!

My gratitude to Aerowalkers is huge.

Dear Aerowalkers Limited,

You sent me my Aerowalkers about 6 weeks ago - thank you. I think they were the difference in getting the swelling down. Traditional physiotherapy helped with improving general movement but was not helping with reducing the swelling.

I found them extremely helpful with the reduction of swelling. I started to use them within 1 week of my plaster being removed. At that time my foot and ankle were very swollen.

Within 1 week of using the Aerowalkers the swelling had visibly reduced. I was using them twice a day then. I continued at this level for 3 weeks. After that I used once per day in the week and twice at weekends if possible. The swelling continued to reduce with their use.

I'm now 7 weeks after the plaster was removed and am able to wear some of my normal shoes - no heels of course! The swelling has continued to reduce.

I now use Aerowalkers once a day for c 20 minutes probably 4/5 days per week.

I'm very grateful. I would certainly recommend Aerowalkers to anyone else in my position.
